Weekend Box Office Results for October 3rd, 2010

As was anticipated, The Social Network dominated the box offices this weekend pulling in $22.4 Million in it’s first weekend.  The success was lower than original expectations but clearly outpaced the others in the top five because it was shown in less theaters.  For director David Fincher this was his third most successful opening weekend behind Panic Room and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.  The second spot for the weekend was Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, in it’s second weekend, bringing in $10.8 Million.  The third most successful movie of the weekend was Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, also in it’s second weekend, bringing in $10 Million.
