ConsumeU Weekly Movie Preview – October 8th

Welcome students to another edition of the weekly movie preview.  I hope you are enjoying getting a sneek peek of the great films coming to theaters each Friday.  I know I have enjoyed learning about the films along with you.   Check out the two new releases to theaters today.

Life as We Know It

Starring: Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel

Director: Greg Berlanti

After Eric (Josh Duhamel) and Holly (Katherine Heigl) ended their first date they both agreed that it was one more date than the two of them should have gone on. After realizing that they weren’t right for each other they went their separate ways. But fate sometimes has an interesting way of bringing people together. When their mutual friends pass away leaving a parentless child, Eric and Holly find out that they were collectively selected to take care of her. See what happens as they try to figure out how to get along and become new parents at the same time.

Secretariat

Starring: Diane Lane, Scott Glenn, John Malkovich

Director: Randall Wallace

This film is a true story based on the William Nack novel, Secretariat. The movie is about Penny Chenery (Diane Lane), a housewife from Virgina who due to her father’s failing health, inherits his famous Meadow Stables. Although she doesn’t have any experience in the horse racing business, which at the time was dominated by men, she produces the 1973 triple crown winner. Some say Secretariat was the most gifted horse of all time.

That’s our lesson for today! I hope you enjoyed it.  Make sure if you head to the theaters this weekend to stop by ConsumeU and rate the movies you watched, and enjoy the fall weather!
