ConsumeU Weekly Movie Preview – October 1st

Greetings again ConsumeU students!  We are at the end of another wonderful week which means it’s time to look at what is coming to theaters today.  Here are the big tickets for October 1st:


The Social Network


Starring: Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake

Director: David Fincher

The much anticipated The Social Network premieres in theaters today.  This is the story of the creation of the largest social networking site in existence, Facebook.  The movie will focus on the Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s involvement in the creation of the site as well as the heavily competitive environment in which it was built.  The film is directed by David Fincher known for his work in Fight Club and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and his style in evident in the trailer below.  It will be very interesting to see if public perception of Facebook changes after this film is consumed by many.

Let Me In


Starring: Kodi Smit-McPhee, Chloe Moretz, Richard Jenkins

If you are in the mood for a haunting thriller this weekend check out Let Me In.  The story is about a bullied and neglected 12-year-old boy Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee) who becomes friends with his mysterious new neighbor Abby (Chloe Moretz), in his small town in New Mexico.   Owen and Abby form a unique bond as both of them are outcasts.  As the town begins to experience an unexplainable string of murders, Owen begins to wonder if Abby is involved.  This film is sure to keep you clutching your popcorn!
